Guardian Ad Litem: 206 N 4th St, provides trained, independent advocates to represent and promote interests of abused, neglected, or dependent children involved in the court system, and work toward a service system that ensures that these children are safe. Several St. Andrew's families are Guardians. Presently over 100 volunteers are trying to cover nearly 500 cases, so they are always seeking and training new people.
Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization, welcomes all people to help build simple, decent, affordable, houses in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter.
Inter-Faith Food Ministries: Food cooked/prepared and distributed to the needy at parking deck across from Hilton, downtown Wilmington, each Sunday afternoon—St. Andrews has 3rd Sunday of each month. Food and utensils/plates/cups needed. Volunteers needed for all phases.
Stay in School” Tutoring Program: Students referred by their teachers from Wrightsville Beach Elementary School and Winter Park School meet at school in the afternoons for tutoring by trained volunteers (training provided).
Several groups use the facilities at St. Andrew's for their weekly meetings: AA meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00 PM ; Al-Anon meets Thursday at 9:30 AM.
