Spirituality and Poetry, A Two-Part Series in the Sunday Forum, January 19 and 26, 9:10 â 10:00 a.m.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the most beloved bishops and teachers in The Episcopal Church today, the Right Reverend Henry Nutt Parsley, retired Bishop of Alabama and Wilmington native. In these two sessions, Bishop Parsley will guide us in learning about spiritual practices and the contemplative reading of poetry.
Here at the beginning of a new year, learn about how ancient Christian spiritual practices, cherished for generations, combined with the experience of poetry, can expand, deepen, and enrich your spiritual life. A selection of poems will guide us in exploring stillness, holy listening, and practicing the presence of God. Designed both for poetry lovers and those who havenât read a poem in years!
