Intergenerational Life

Christian formation is woven into the fabric of our lives. It’s not confined to specific times or places, with people who look just like us, but emerges where our daily experiences intersect with our faith journey. Whether it’s around the dinner table, at the park, or in the workplace, these are the places where our faith takes shape.

At the heart of Christian formation are relationships. Through connections with others, we encounter God’s presence, discover Jesus in our midst, and lay the groundwork for discipleship. Just as we learn and grow in different places, we do so with all different kinds of people. We celebrate our time spent with different ages along with each person’s individual story. Supportive relationships nurture growth, challenge us, and invite us to embrace new possibilities.

The church, as a welcoming community, naturally fosters these relationships. While programs may facilitate connections, it’s the bonds we form that keep us coming back together in the name of Christ.

One intentional approach to cultivating these relationships is through intergenerational fellowship and worship within our congregations and communities. Faith formation is not an individual pursuit but is anchored in the shared life of the community where our stories are known and valued. St. Andrew’s is a place we all belong!
